SiTE:LAB will be participating in the 2nd edition of the UNTITLED art fair in Miami from December 2-8, 2013,featuring a site-specific installation by Brooklyn-based artist Alois Kronschlaeger.SiTE:LABis a Grand Rapids-based non-profit that organizes art exhibits in temporary locations. Over the past threeyears, SiTE:LAB has staged over a dozen site-specific projects in locations ranging from vacant commercialbuildings to a nature center and an abandoned natural history museum. SiTE:LAB was the recipient of the ArtPrizejuried award for best venue in 2011 and 2012, and exhibited the winner of the ArtPrize grand prize juried award inboth 2012 and 2013.
Jerry Saltz, senior art critic for New York magazine, weighed in that SiTE:LAB's 2012 ArtPrizeexhibition was “the BEST SPACE for artist-curated exhibitions I have seen in the United States for some time.”SiTE:LAB curator Paul Amenta expressed his excitement at being accepted to UNTITLED. "This is SiTE:LAB's firstproject outside of Grand Rapids, and we could not be happier that it will feature Alois. We have worked with him ontwo prior projects and know from those experiences that he will create something truly unique in Miami."SiTE:LAB's participation in UNTITLED is supported by Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University.
