“AGAIN, SOMEHOW”
2002

Film Description:

“Again, somehow”, is about the residue and concealment of reality, memory and fantasy. In this work, I construct architectural environments through conventional building supplies. Primary materials include metal studs, wooden planks, Plexiglas and the use of silicon to cast my own wallpapers.

Within this framework, scenes of domesticity are performed. The silicon wallpaper with “fleur de leys” pattern lets human silhouettes emerge behind this semi transparent canvas.

“Again, somehow” was shoot on 16mm. The voiceover is from excerpts of “The Death of the Moth” by Virginia Woolf, music is by Henrik Gorecki.
